STAFF and students at a Birmingham school are celebrating an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted inspection this month.
St Paul’s School for Girls in Edgbaston is “very proud indeed” after scoring the highest rating in their recent Religious Education Ofsted inspection.
Founded more than 108 years ago by the Sisters of Charity, St Paul’s is Birmingham’s only all girls Catholic school.
Headteacher Dr Dawn Casserly, a former St Paul’s pupil with Roscommon and Kilkenny roots, thanked all staff for their efforts this week, adding “congratulations in particular to the RE department, for their consistent hard work, their positive attitude and the example they set to pupils”.
St Paul’s also recently received the National PiXL award – for achieving outstanding Year 11 progress in 2014, beating over 2000 other secondary schools, and placing the school in the top four per cent of secondary schools in England.
