Ant McPartlin is finally making his TV comeback this Friday

ANT MCPARTLIN is making his long-awaited return to TV work this week as the auditions for Britain’s Got Talent get underway.

It will be the first time the presenter has appeared on the series since his drink-driving conviction in March, last year.

McPartlin was suspended from driving for 20 months and received an £86,000 fine after crashing his Mini Cooper while more than two times over the legal drink-driving limit.

The incident saw McPartlin put his career on pause having previously checked into rehab back in 2017 with a painkiller addiction.

McPartlin stepped away from presenting roles on Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity and Saturday Night Takeaway in an attempt to try and tackle his demons.

Now the beloved presenter, who forms one half of the country’s most popular presenting duo alongside Declan Donnelly, is returning to work.

Good Morning Britain entertainment editor Richard Arnold revealed to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard the news.

"I can officially announce that after a year off Ant will start filming on the new series of BGT,” he said.

"Can you believe it has come around again? How the time flies."

According to Arnold, McPartlin is “looking very well” ahead of his TV return.

McPartlin will follow-up returning to Britain’s Got Talent with work on Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celeb, both of which are expected to return later in the year.
