GARDAI WERE forced to attend the scene of a large outdoor party in Dublin over the Bank Holiday weekend which saw attendees flouting the government’s social distancing rules.
A large group of local residents were pictured disobeying lockdown restrictions to enjoy a party in the garden outside of an undisclosed housing estate.
The party sparked complaints from other neighbours unhappy with the mass gathering and the noise it was generating.
Officers eventually arrived on the scene and dispersed the large crowd of people, who were not only risking their own health but could end up passing COVID-19 onto a close loved one.
The Garda Review magazine shared an image of the scene on Twitter.
“INEXPLICABLE: This is what social distancing looks like in one part of Dublin tonight. Non-existent,” they said.
“As if Cocooners did not have enough to put up with, they then had to call Gardaí when noise from an outside “party” became insufferable. Thankfully all dispersed.”

The incident comes just days after the Lord Mayor of Dublin accused many across the capital of taking their eye off the ball when it comes to adhering to the lockdown rules.
“What I saw were people openly partying in gardens very close to each other not social distancing,” Tom Brabazon said.
“There were too many people in the gardens that I saw and they were all very openly consuming alcohol, which is fine in itself.
“But, after a few hours, social distancing may slip to the rear of their consciousness.
“I don’t know whether it’s the good weather or what it is but there was party fever about.”
