THE PSNI are warning people of the dangers of mixing gas and aerosol at home.
An explosion that happened in Lurgan in Co. Armagh was caused by a can of Lynx left sitting on a stove.
The explosion blew a window out if its frame, with luckily no victims incurring injuries from the incident.
Taking to their Facebook page, the PSNI warned: "When they talk about "The Lynx Effect", I'm pretty sure this isn't what they meant.
Lurgan tonight, a small explosion and a window blown out after an aerosol accidentally left on a stove which was then turned on. Thankfully, no one hurt.
Please be careful at home. When dealing with gas, candles, lighters...indeed anything that can spark in any way, always check that it is safe to light anything before doing so. This could have been a lot worse, but thankfully isn't."
They included a photo of the incident also... A good reminder of making sure everything is in its right place before you leave the house for a Christmas night out!
