A GOLDEN RETRIEVER named Sunny is making the world a little brighter with an adorable act of kindness.
The ever-such-a-good-boy is acting as a go-between for his owner and her elderly neighbour, who's having to remain in isolation due to a number of underlying health conditions.
The pup has been bringing his neighbour, Renee, her shopping every day, by carrying a bag full of goods to her front door.
Even more adorably, Sunny will trot over to Renee's house with a shopping list for her to fill out, before trotting back home to give the list to his owner, Karen, who does the shopping.
The pair live in Manitou Springs in Colorado and have been neighbours for over a decade.
Despite the temporary restrictions and safety measures in place, they've thankfully found a clever and cuddly way to stay in contact.
Karen explains how the amazing routine first started.
"She [Renee] got the list, she gave it to Sunny, Sunny brought it to me, I went to the store, got her her groceries, and delivered them all to her."
Renee, who relies on oxygen to breathe properly, said that getting food and visits from Sunny every day makes quarantine much more bearable.
"What a wonderful thing, just a sweet thing," she said.
"It's been fun, it's been a real treat.
"Little things like Sunny coming over to visit is nice and makes you feel good and is a way of communicating."
Footage of Sunny delivering the groceries has gone viral in the days since and has been shared thousands of times online.
Karen said that she hoped the footage would convince people to help others wherever they can, and that she was happy that Sunny was making people smile.
"Anybody can do something small, that can be so helpful," she said.
Absolutely.
Here's to Sunny: a source of light and warmth in such strange and uneasy times.
If you watch anything today, make it this. A #ManitouSprings dog is making deliveries to a self-quarantined neighbor so she doesn't have to risk getting sick ♥️ https://t.co/IqirOsztHV pic.twitter.com/DY9MJUebnh
