Actor Morgan Freeman accused of inappropriate behaviour and harassment

HOLLYWOOD actor Morgan Freeman has been accused of inappropriate behaviour and harassment.

Eight women have accused Morgan Freeman of harassment and inappropriate behaviour, according to a report by CNN.

In total, 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman.

Eight of the women claim to be victims of either sexual harassment or inappropriate behaviour and eight say they witnessed Freeman’s alleged misconduct.

A young production assistant who worked with Freeman on the 2015 film “Going In Style”, starring Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin — alleges Freeman subjected her to unwanted touching and comments about her figure on a regular basis.

She revealed to CNN that Freeman “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.” At one point, she recalled, “Alan made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn’t know what to say.”

Another production assistant who worked on the 2012 film "Now You See Me", said that Freeman's advances had such an effect that the female staff on set would “not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted.”

Most of those who have made accusations against Freeman said that they didn't report him at the time for fear that they would lose their jobs.

Film sets were not the only places where Freeman acted in this way, it seems.
