Wexford pub serves thirsty punters a half pint in quirky new glasses

A WEXFORD pub has come up with a quirky and unusual way of serving half-pints to its customers.

Punters have been lining up at the bar in Simon Lambert & Sons to get their hands on these humorous glasses since the pub's Facebook post featuring the novelty item went viral over the weekend.

The pub's marketing manager Seamus Redmond said the glasses had originally been used to serve one regular customer as a joke.

"We've had these glasses at the pub for a while, but it was only last Friday that one of our bartenders used one of them as a joke to serve a customer who can't seem to handle their drink so well.

"The photo was uploaded to our Facebook page, and then over the weekend it exploded online. It's amazing. We've had people come into the pub to try the glasses, but most of them have been nicked. We've got one left that's under lock and key until we get some new ones in!"
