WATCH: Irishman produces amazing fiddle cover of Put ‘Em Under Pressure for Euro 2016

THEY don’t quite make international tournament songs like they used to, so a creative reinvention of an Irish classic is always welcome in our book, especially as Euro 2016 looms large.

Armagh musician Niall Murphy and photographer Colin Gillen have collaborated to produce an utterly unique version of Put ’Em Under Pressure, the Republic of Ireland’s official song for the 1990 World Cup.

Filmed at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin in Derry, a video depicts 11 versions of Niall covering the song from all angles, which has been expertly spliced together to make the ultimate one-man-fiddle band.

It’s sure to get Republic of Ireland fans fired up for the Euros, with Martin O’Neill’s men kicking off their campaign against Sweden on June 13.
