With a new UK website The Irish Store is gearing up for an exciting holiday season

The Irish Store - one of Ireland’s leading online retailers, specialising in stylish and authentic Irish knitwear – has launched its UK website just in time for Christmas.

Offering big Black Friday deals on Irish gifts, including their new range, The Winter Collection, there is something for everyone – whether you are buying gifts for others or a special treat for yourself.

The theme of the new collection is all about “falling in love with authentic Ireland this holiday season”, says Lulu O’Sullivan, founder and CEO of The Irish Store.

The Irish Store have something to suit every taste and each piece is crafted using only the finest wool to produce soft and easy to wear knits, as well as pieces in wool and cashmere blends.

Along with some brand-new designs, The Winter Collection features additional colours to their bestseller must-haves and some beautifully crafted Aran knits in timeless black.

“We have just launched our biggest and most exciting collection to date,” says Lulu.

“We’ve worked closely with all our makers to bring our customers a stunning range of new designs exclusive to The Irish Store, as well as a gorgeous selection of five-star customer favourites in beautiful new season colours."

The Irish Store collection offers a modern take on an Irish classic

The Irish Store’s new Winter Collection comes at a time when the nation’s knitwear – and Aran sweaters specifically – is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity.

That may be due to global superstar Taylor Swift and Hollywood heartthrob Chris Evans - who were both spotted wearing the chunky knitwear over the past 12 months.

Actor Chris Evans sported an Aran jumper in Knives Out

Last December Chris Evans appeared in an Aran jumper in the movie Knives Out, which has left people searching for a similar jumper to have as their own.

And in July 2020 Taylor Swift, while releasing her latest album Folklore, wore a rollneck version of the iconic Aran sweater for her promo shoots.

Ms O’Sullivan said: “I guess it all started with Grace Kelly when she wore an Aran on the cover of Vogue in the 1950s and the rest, as they say, is history.

“For me, it just further proves the enduring appeal of the Aran sweater and cements its reputation as an Irish design classic and must-have wardrobe staple."
