SIMON THOMAS, of Sky Sports and formerly of Blue Peter has been sharing his feelings his grief online.
The 44-year-old sports reporter, who was has worked for Sky for more than 10 years revealed yesterday that his wife Gemma has died of leukaemia.
The sporting pundit shared the devastating news on his Twitter account, saying he was ‘crushed’.
His tweet read: “Today I am crushed with indescribable pain. Just three days after falling ill with Acute Myloid Leukaemia, my dear wife Gemma passed away yesterday evening surrounded by her family and friends. If you are a prayer – pray for my boy Ethan. 8yrs, precious and in bits. Thank you.”

Thomas has continued to open up about his devastation with a picture of his late wife and their 8-year-old son Ethan. He shared a picture of his family and captioned it: "Team Thomas. Three has become two. Heartbroken and suffocating with grief."
