AN AMBITIOUS search has been launched via social media to find the owner of a Claddagh ring wedding band found at a busy London tube station.
The gold ring, which bears the traditional Irish Claddagh design, was found at Chancery Lane tube station yesterday.
In a Facebook plea posted yesterday afternoon Svetlana Dudun has called for people to show "compassion” and share the appeal to help reunite the ring with its owner.
With so many people passing through central London on a daily basis – including many tourists – this ring’s owner could be from anywhere in the world and could now be anywhere.
One thing is for certain, they have Irish roots or an affinity with Ireland.
To reunite them with their wedding band this week would be something of a St Patrick’s miracle.
Surely we can do it?
