THIS adorable Irish baby will always have a birthday to remember having been delivered on St Patrick’s Day by none other than a doctor called Patrick.
Now six-weeks-old, baby Béibhinn was born at St Mary’s Hospital Manchester at 5.02pm on March 17, 2017 weighing a healthy five pounds and 15 ounces.
Proud Irish parents Joan and Joe moved to England a few years ago and were ecstatic to see their first child born on Ireland’s most famous day.
Out of chance, the doctor who helped deliver little Béibhinn Eve Long at St Mary’s was none other than a doctor called Patrick.
“It was certainly an unusual way to celebrate our St Patrick’s Day,” mum Joan, 37, told The Irish Post.
“We wouldn't be surprised if she is the only Béibhinn registered in England this year as it such an unusual Irish name that most people have never heard of.”
Joan revealed that husband Joe was “delighted” that Béibhinn was born on one of the most important days in the Irish calendar.
“We think we will celebrate Béibhinn's birthday alongside the St Patrick’s Day celebrations going forward.
"But we still have to figure out how you do that,” Joan joked.
Congratulations and best of luck to the Long family!
