A GIGANTIC cargo ship has docked in Cork carrying a staggering five million bananas.
As well as bananas, the load on board includes the largest ever container ship to moor at an Irish port.
The cargo also contains melons and pineapples, and it’s expected that it will take a staggering nine hours to unload at the port in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
The ship – with an overall length of 230m and weighs around 42,000 tonnes – continues its journey from Central America by docking in Essex this afternoon.
