THEY always say that schooldays are the best days of our lives.

In the olden days when I used to attend both primary and secondary school, I couldn't understand just what my parents and older people meant, but as a university student now, I totally grasp the concept of that old saying.

Life at an Irish primary school was truly phenomenal when you look back now - having 2 lunch breaks during the day and a hard day's work done at 3pm was a feat many of us took for granted - and a working many of us only yearn for now. It's easy to forget many of the glorious things that happened in our schooldays but one Twitter user, @mormonhorse has shown just how easy a day at school truly was.

Many primary school teachers often struggle with delegating work to small children, with the deploying of projects as homework a regular occurrence in any Irish primary school. I myself remember doing numerous projects which were ALWAYS left to the night before, come rain, hail or shine and this was probably one of the many reasons my long-suffering mother has to pay to get her grey hairs coloured every month.

This video recently surfaced on Twitter shows just how random and tedious these aforementioned school projects could be, with many of us picking subjects for a project only because we were under pressure to get the work done.

Twitter user Emma expertly shows us in the video uploaded with the caption "I found my 3rd class project book" the varied selection of subjects she did projects on, and her narration as she takes us through the journey that is her childhood copybook will have you in fits of laughter.

Time to start rooting around for old copies and project books - you don't know what treasure you'll find!
