POPULAR TV personality Dermot O’Leary went back to his Irish roots this week.
The Nightly Show presenter and BBC radio host joined his Wexford-born parents Maria and Sean at the London Wexford Association dinner and dance at the Clayton Crown hotel in Cricklewood at the weekend.
The London Wexford Association is one of the oldest county associations in London and has hosted its annual dinner for the last 63 years.
Its welfare fund has donated many thousands of pounds to worthy causes, both in Ireland and London, over the years.
Also in attendance was Wexford TD Paul Kehoe, Minister of State with special responsibility for Defence.
He was joined by a number of civic representatives who travelled over from Wexford for the occasion, including the Mayor of Wexford Cllr Frank Staples, the Chair of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council Cllr Oliver Walsh, the Vice Chairman of New Ross District Council Cllr William Fitzharris, the Chairman of Wexford County Council, Cllr Paddy Kavanagh and the Chairman of Gorey Municipal District Council Cllr Pip Breen.
Music on the night was provided by Barry Owen and the Main Attraction.
