MAMMIES, tea and moaning about the weather aside, there are very few things quite as popular as thanking the bus driver in Ireland.
A bit of respect goes a long way – and as anyone who's taken a bus abroad will know – it's far from common beyond these shores.
We can all agree that you should never play any sort of music out loud, never shout down the phone for the entire journey and always, ALWAYS thank the driver.
music: off
earphones: out
bus driver: thanked— cieran (@MrNeeson) January 9, 2018
One Dubliner by the name of Cieran certainly agrees – and his tweet breaking down three simple rules everyone should follow when getting off the bus has exploded on Twitter.
He simply wrote: "music: off, earphones: out, bus driver: thanked".
Judging by the 100,000+ retweets Cieran's tweet has mustered so far, he's not the only one who feels passionately about the subject!
