UNIVERSITY College Dublin (UCD) has re-designated over 170 toilets across its campus as 'gender neutral'.
The university said it was reclassifying its lavatories to provide a "more welcoming campus" for transgender and 'gender-fluid' students and staff members.
In addition, UCD will also introduce transgender changing cubicles at its sport centre in Belfield, and allow students to change their names on college documents without the need for gender recognition certs.
It's not the first top Dublin institution to implement a gender neutral policy.
Dublin City University (DCU) and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) have also reclassified a number of toilet cubicles, while Trinity is phasing out the term 'freshman' for its first and second-year students.
