IN IRELAND, we have some pretty outlandish places names that we get a giggle out of.
But yesterday saw Twitter users mashing these places with bands and singers to create the most Irish "town bands" out there.
In what was one of the best faux pas on Irish radio in recent years, a Today FM listener accidentally called British band Clean Bandit "Clane Bandit" on air.
The link to the Co. Kildare town of Clane was quickly made - and soon Town Bands was trending in Ireland.
Today FM DJ Dave Moore kicked things off...
Lads, hit us with your #TownBands please! Naas of Base! Clane Bandit! Macroom 5! Go!

And naturally enough, Ireland responded with gusto.
We've picked some of our favourite ones here. Have you any to add?
