Irish surfer battles the Atlantic and glides under the waves at Ireland's Cliffs of Moher

THIS big wave Irish surfer took on the might of the Atlantic Ocean and won.

Co. Clare's Ollie O' Flaherty battled high waves and a tempestuous sea to create this amazing 360-degree surfing video for Fáilte Ireland.

With the Atlantic churning beneath him and views of the impressive the Cliffs of Moher, the Lahinch native is towed in to take on the waves - and later seen gliding on his board under and through the water as it crashes to shore.

Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way regularly sees tow-in surfers battle waves as high as 12metres from as far out to sea as 3km.
