Irish man captures eight months of life together with girlfriend then proposes live on camera

ROMANTIC Irishman Gavin Fogarty has managed to surprise his girlfriend Clara with a video capturing a second of every day of the last eight months of their lives together.

If that wasn't romantic enough, he pops the question at the end.

The video shows the couple's relationship from beginning to end – from a night in watching House of Cards to hanging out with their cats.

The soundtrack to the video features the couples' favourite song Home Again by Dublin-based band Delorentos who allowed them to use the song especially for the video.

Fogarty captured the footage from September 2015 onwards using the 1 Second Everyday (1SE) app, which allows the user to record one second of video every day and then chronologically edits them together into a single film.

The footage has become such a hit on YouTube, it has even prompted the app's founder Cesar Kuriyama to comment saying what he saw "just melted my heart."

Gavin revealed his biggest fear over the past few months, wasn't proposing to Clara, but was losing his phone with all the content on it.

In the last few moments of the clip, Gavin can be seen pulling out a box from a drawer to reveal a shiny engagement ring in front of his shocked girlfriend.

The Storyful video has clocked up 69,019 views so far.
