IRISH style and design has been feted at London Fashion Week.
From seasoned designers like Paul Costelloe and Orla Kiely to the next generation of couturiers such as Dublin-born Danielle Romeril, Derry’s JW Anderson and Simone Rocha, Ireland’s creative flair charmed on the catwalk.
A group of 11 designers also took part in a special presentation as part of ID2015’s Unfold collection at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.
There, 2015 Irish Jewellery Designer of the Year, Capulet & Montague’s Lisa McCormack was joined by fellow jewellers Cork’s Maria Dorai-Raj and Dubliner Chupi, who, having been scouted to design for Topshop at 21, now creates a range of delicate nature-inspired jewellery.
Jill de Búrca, who worked in Britain as an embroidery and embellishment designer working with international designers including Calvin Klein and Diane Von Furstenberg, made a welcome return to these shores having moved home to her native Dublin last year to launch her own label.

ID2015 has also partnered with London Design Festival (until September 27) to present The Ogham Wall at the V&A — an ambitious project designed by Dublin-based Grafton Architects.
Design fans can also catch the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland’s Ó exhibition at Tent London this week featuring stone, glass, ceramics, wood and textiles displays for over 20 Irish designers.
