YET another Status Yellow weather warning has been issued in Ireland, as freezing conditions continue to persist.
Met Éireann has issued a snow-ice warning, beginning at 9pm tonight and staying in place until 9am tomorrow morning.
According to the national forecaster: “Temperatures will remain below normal, with the ongoing risk of some wintry falls”.
Scattered snow showers are predicted, with accumulation of around 3cm expected in some areas.
Both rain and snow showers will be more frequent in the west and north of the country.
Friday morning will begin with a frosty start, leading to a bright and cold day with wintry showers fading out as the day goes on.
As for the weekend, further snowfall and icy conditions are expected as this winter's frigid conditions refuse to cease.
