A CHATTERING of starlings put on a swooping performance by the roadside in Ireland as they swarmed in and out of a tree at dusk.
The footage was captured and released on Twitter by journalist Philip Bromwell, who caught the moment in Lavey, Co.Cavan.
According to Birdwatch Ireland, starlings are one of the most common birds in Ireland and form huge flocks in the winter.
They also claim up to half a million birds can feature in a flock.
At dusk, specifically in winter, massive swirling flocks can be seen like in the footage below before a chattering settles down for the night.
