An iconic pub in Cork is marking a century in business by offering pints of beer at 100-year-old prices.
The rebel city's famous Oval Bar, located on the corner of South Main Street and Tuckey Street, will celebrate its 100th birthday on December 18.
And from 7.18pm to 11.30pm on the night, guests will be able to enjoy a pint of Beamish for as little as it would've cost in 1918... 7 cents to be exact.
That's approximately the cost of ⅕ of a Freddo bar.
The Oval is still in its original condition and is the only pub in Cork to be included on a list of iconic 20th century buildings.
Management and staff took to Facebook to announce the news.
Celebrating 100 years of business join us on December 18 as we wind back the clocks to 1918!" they said.
"Serving Beamish at 1918 prices join us for a night of celebration".
In a later post, staff explained: "Our resident currency expert has been doing the numbers and we finally have a pint for the 1918 equivalent!
"From 19:18 on 18/12 we will be serving pints of Beamish for 7c while stocks last."
Some offers cannot be refused!
