Dublin club Copper Face Jacks share the enormous amount of lost property they collect

FOR anyone familiar with the infamous Coppers, you'll know how annoying it is waiting in the queue for your coat at the end of a long night out.

The wait for the cloakroom can take between 10 minutes and even half an hour, and for some a little more... tired or drunk than others, that can mean just leaving without your belongings.

The cloakrooms of many clubs are surely plagued with responsibilities to keep people's items after a night out, however with such a volume of customers almost every night of the week, we can only imagine what pressure is on poor Copper's staff to keep track of lost coats, bags and jackets.

The unofficial jewel in Dublin's crown, Copper Face Jacks is one of the most in-demand clubs in the country's capital and from any nights I've frequented there, I can only sympathise with the tasks the staff have to tackle, let alone collect items for lost property.

The club has warned customers to keep better tabs on their belongings when visiting the establishment as they're snowed under with bags upon bags of coats.

Copper Face Jacks has advised people to keep their jackets within view in future, updating their Facebook with a video entitled: "This is about 20% of our lost property. Please stop forgetting your jackets!"

Let's face it, we've all lost at least one coat in Coppers before... But if there's one thing to come out of it, the Facebook page confirmed that they donate the clothes to homeless charities if the items haven't been reclaimed after 6 weeks.
