'Best not to wear religious iconography around it' - advert for mysterious evil book goes viral in Ireland

A WATERFORD-BASED man is attempting to flog a 'mysterious evil book' for free on DoneDeal.

The seller, known as Fergal Sandison, says he's trying to get rid of it "because it creeps the hell out of [his] mother."

So far the ad has had over 9,000 views.

"She says it's mostly the low humming it produces and taste of copper in her mouth she gets when she sees it is a bit much," the ad adds about the book.

"It's best not to wear religious iconography or silver around the book that tends to get on its nerves," it states.

"It hisses when in the proximity of Hello! magazine [...] while holding the book it's best not to cross running water or make direct eye contact with a crow."

Buyers are warned that if you do take the book, there will be "a bit of a ritual involved, it won't take long but it does involve a lot of spit and root vegetables."

"I'm no book expect now but I'd say this is probably quite unique," Mr Sandison adds.

"Full disclosure I have an awful feeling it's actually a Tom Clancy novel," he ends.
