THE LAUNCH of Belfast Fashion Week brought a splash of colour to a cold and wet January.
Now in its nineteenth season, the Fashion Week programme was announced with Director Cathy Martin promising an event that will showcase "the very best of our local designers and independent boutiques as well as international high street names.”
From 19-22 March, BFW returns with nightly catwalk shows, a pop-up sushi and cocktail bar and a' boutique alley', where show-goers can browse the latest catwalk collections.
As for trends for Spring, organisers say "zingy colours" with a palette of citrus bursts – especially bright yellows and lime greens will dominate, while with prints expect to see eclectic vintage prints and fabrics inspired by the 1970s.
