Limerick student shows off impressive Irish dancing skills in 'Irish fusion' video

ONE of the most exciting events in the Irish dancing calendar is soon to take place and audition videos are being shared online.

Limerick student Kevin Prendergast's fantastic audition for the Fusion Dance Fest 2016 was shared on Facebook and has been seen 2,000 views in 24 hours.

The dance student at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick performed his own "Irish fusion" routine to the soundtrack of Chris Brown's Beautiful People.

"Irish fusion" is a dance craze that combines traditional Irish dancing with modern techniques.

Fusion Fighters, a British-based contemporary Irish dancing group, run the festival, which will take place from August 8 to 13 at the University of Limerick.

More of the brilliant videos can be found on Fusion Fighters' Facebook page.
