Irish dancers act out Galway and Mayo's GAA rivalry with brilliant wedding performance

A GROUP of Irish dancers acted out the intense rivalry between Mayo and Galway's Gaelic football teams for a special wedding performance.

The dancers, from The Gavin Dance Academy in Peterswell, Galway, entertained the guests at the wedding of Mayo man Trevor Blake and his Galway bride Sandra Lynskey.

Dressed in Mayo and Galway jerseys with and with O'Neill's footballs in hand, the group danced their way through the "GAA match" of the counties' rivalry.

The neighbouring counties have maintained a healthy sporting rivalry for decades.

The couple wed at the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort, Co. Galway in December of last year and the video was uploaded by Ms Lynskey's uncle, Noel Uniacke on New Year's Eve.
