CORK singer-songwriter John Spillane was on-hand to provide the tunes as the annual Connacht Rugby brunch was staged at the Marriott hotel in Twickenham.
Spillane – a Munster man at heart – even broke out a fine rendition of a song that he had especially written for Connacht Rugby in-between a number of other hits from his extensive back catalogue.
The successful event was organised by Connacht Rugby, in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, to coincide with the Heineken Cup clash between Harlequins and Connacht which took place just across the road at the Twickenham Stoop.
Irish business communities from both sides of the Irish Sea got together to celebrate a new dawn for professional rugby on the west coast of Ireland and all the benefits that brings to the region.
The brunch included a fantastic line-up of entertainment, with speeches from rugby legends, traditional Irish music and an exciting raffle of unique sporting experiences.
