THERE was action galore at this year’s Speedy Cup in Northampton.
The family fun day, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary, took place at The Racecourse.
And there was plenty for the crowds to enjoy, with children’s and adult races, Gaelic football, hurling and penalty shoot-out competitions, donkey derbies, tug-of-war and sheaf-throwing competitions to name but a few.
Music was performed live by the Wild Murphys band. There were also Irish dancers from the Clifford-Lightley Academy, children’s amusements and lots of great food on offer.
All proceeds from this year’s festival will go to the Cynthia Spencer and KIDS Mencap charities.
