In Pictures... St Brendan’s GAA annual dinner dance and awards

St Brendan’s GAA’s annual dinner dance and awards were held recently at the Birmingham Irish Centre.

The dinner dance is always an opportunity for players old and new to come together with family and friends to celebrate and this year the family of two of the founder members — Micheal Sugrue and Walter McGee — were in attendance.

The theme for this year’s celebrations was acknowledging the contributions the underage section is making to the club.

During his speech, club chairman Con Cunningham said that between 80 and 90 per cent of the senior team are now coming through from the underage groups.

Also referenced was the fact that all the underage groups had won the Warwickshire Championship this season, while there was a special mention to the successes of the under 12, 14 and 18 age groups.
