ROGER Casements players and club supporters dined in style recently at Coventry’s Rialto.
Players past and present came together to celebrate a great year for the club at its annual dinner and dance.
Thanking the club’s members, friends and family, Chairman Kieran Boyle welcomed special guest, Kerry All-Ireland winner Barry John Keane.
In recognising the year’s successes, sponsors O’Brien Contractors, JCM Civil Engineering, Jo Cunningham and Virgin Media, among many others were thanked alongside the generosity to the club of Mary McPartland and the continued friendship of Cannon Tom Farrell and Christ the King Church.
In a year full of success, the ladies team are now county champions, the hurling team continues to grow and the senior football team have a renewed dedication and belief of future championship success.
The Chairman also gave credit to the underage section and the success of the Ann Boyle Memorial family day, which was featured in The Irish Post earlier in the year.
The 1920 style and chic of the Rialto, in the City’s Coundon area, or ‘County Coundon’ as it is known locally, was the perfect backdrop of this year’s Casements annual dinner dance. Following the presentations the evening’s entertainment got under way with music from The BibleCode Sundays.
