IRISH HOOLEY in Islington, an evening of top-class Irish traditional music, took place last week at the Islington Assembly Hall in North London.

The night featured some of the finest exponents of Irish music, song and dance, including the London Lasses and Chris O’Malley, Le Chéile, CrossHarbour, Terence O’Flaherty and James Carty and Meitheal Cheoil.

Proceeds from the evening will support Irish Music and Dance in London (IMDL) and the staging of the 18th Return to Camden Town Festival which takes place from 25th - 31st October.

Due to public funding cuts, festival founder Karen Ryan is appealing for new supporters from within the Irish business community to come forward and join existing sponsors in supporting the promotion of Irish arts in London and the continued success of the Return to Camden Town Festival.
