THE TOUREEN Group - James Mangan Memorial Golf Day took place last week at Wexham Park golf club in Buckinghamshire, where clients and employees of the Irish owned construction company took to the fairways to enjoy the day's golf, followed by a prize presentation back in the clubhouse.
The day was held in memory of James Mangan from Mayo, the father of actor Stephen Mangan, who was a founder of Mangan Brothers Contractors, a main contractor to the petroleum industry since 1962.
In 2001, Mangan Brothers Contractors was acquired by Toureen Group, another Irish construction firm, headed by Kerry man Denis Nolan, and Denis and the Mangan family have remained close ever since.
The golf day coincided with the Toureen Group's 25th anniversary celebrations and a special dinner for around 700 guests, including former Taoiseach Enda Kenny, which took place on the same evening at Wexham Park, with live music and a good Irish session into the early hours.
Wexham Park golf club was acquired by the Toureen Group in in 2016.
