CÉAD, a brand new festival of Irish arts, took place at the London Irish Centre in Camden over the weekend, featuring a host of Irish artists, musicians, poets, film-makers and storytellers.
The festival ran from June 24th - 26th and included pop-up theatre, family arts, trad sessions, sing-songs, poetry, exhibitions and workshops and drew large crowds to the North London venue.
A fantastic festival headline concert on Saturday night included performances by Liam Ó Maonlaí, (Hothouse Flowers), New Airs, featuring Glen Austin and the RTÉ Contempo Quartet, John Spillane, Rónán Ó Snodaigh (Kila), Stephen James Smith and Abby Oliveira.
The Céad festival is part of Culture Ireland’s International 1916 Centenary Programme.
