Watch as Keane and Carragher have furious row in Sky Sports studio over Ronaldo

IRELAND legend Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher had a furious row in the Sky Sports studio following Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea today.

The former players were discussing United interim manager Michael Carrick's decision to leave Ronaldo on the bench for the Stamford Bridge clash.

Ronaldo came on in the 64th minute, shortly before Chelsea equalised, but was largely ineffective before heading straight down the tunnel at full time.

Keane was arguing that while Ronaldo, 36, shouldn't expect to start every game, he should feature from the start in big games such as today's clash at the league leaders.

However, Carragher said it should no longer come as a surprise if Ronaldo is benched.

The former Liverpool player went further, saying United only signed the Portuguese to stop him joining Manchester City.

He also criticised Ronaldo's work-rate, while Keane countered by pointing to Ronaldo's four goals and two assists in the league this season.

However, when Carragher appeared to suggest Ronaldo should be doing more than just scoring goals, Keane let rip.

"What's the game about?! The game's about goals, Jamie!" he shouted.

Just as things appeared to calm down, Keane then claimed the signing of Ronaldo alone wasn't going to see United win the league.

That then prompted an angry outburst from Carragher, who yelled: "What was the point of signing him?! What's he come back for then?!"

The two then went at it hammer and tongs, as a bemused Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink sat between them, laughing.

The exchange also prompted a huge reaction on Twitter, with 'Keane' at one point trending at No. 1 in Britain.

Even Keane's old teammate Gary Neville got in on the action, finding the whole thing hilarious.
