Revealed – here's where you can find the best burger in Ireland for National Burger Day

THE BEST burger in Ireland has been revealed ahead of the country’s inaugural National Burger Day on Thursday. June 21.

After almost 17.000 votes were cast from around the country, it was revealed that the Hungry Moose in Kilkenny is home to the best burger in Ireland.

The gourmet burger restaurant, which only opened in December, is owned by Andy Brown and Chris Telford.

The latter is a former chef to the Rolling Stones and has also prepared meals for Meatloaf, Paul McCartney and Jay Z.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be named the home of the best burger in Ireland,” said Chris.

“After only opening the restaurant last year, we are truly speechless.

“We want to send a huge thank-you to all who voted and especially to our loyal and local customers for their encouragement and support.

“It’s times like these that makes all the hard work worthwhile!”

As part of National Burger Day, sponsored by Kepak, more than 500 participating restaurants – including the Hungry Moose – are offering two-for-one burgers on June 21.
