Maryland Cookies are hiring a Cookie Taster - and they'll be paid £350 for their time

MARYLAND COOKIES is on the lookout for the UK and Ireland’s biggest biscuit fan to join its team as an official Cookie Taster.

That’s right, you can now get paid to eat your favourite cookies.

The requirements for the role are pretty simple…The official Cookie Taster will be recruited to attend the Maryland Innovation Centre in Edinburgh.

Upon arrival, they will be tasked with tasting and sharing their thoughts on Maryland’s entire range of cookies, including those not yet on the shelves.

The lucky candidate will also be able to create their own dream cookie and see it come to life.

To top it off, the new hire will get paid £350 for the tough task of lending their taste buds to such an important cause.

Rachael Rayner, Brand Manager at Maryland said: “It’s really important to us that we are constantly innovating and ensuring that Maryland Cookies remain the best tasting cookies on the market.

“Consumer feedback is vital, so we are excited about inviting the successful candidate into our bakery to taste our range and create their very own cookie right before their eyes. It really is a cookie lover’s dream job!”

To apply for the role, you’ll need to visit the Airtasker website and click “Make an offer” and leave a comment explaining what YOU would do for a Maryland Cookie.

Would you wear a onesie to work for the day? Or tap dance down the supermarket aisle? Perhaps you’d teach your gran to ‘dab’? …the crazier and more cookie-related the better.

Try not to crumble under the pressure... this job role is one with real bite.

The applicant who convinces Maryland that they’re the UK and Ireland’s biggest cookie fan will be appointed as the official Cookie Taster.

You’ll need to move fast though with applications open until 26th July 2019.

They can’t hire everyone, of course. Unfortunately, that’s just the way the cookies crumbles.
