‘Does this make you do poos?’ – These Irish people try drinking Guinness for the first time ever

WHEN it comes to drinks, it’s hard to think of anything more iconic or quintessentially Irish than Guinness.

Brewed in Ireland’s capital since 1759 and with a harp as its logo, its one of Ireland’s most famous and recognisable brands.

Ask any tourist to Ireland to sum up Ireland in five words and Guinness will probably be one of them.

But just as we’re not all tea-drinking, potato-loving, slip-jigging stereotypes on the Emerald Isle, there are also some Irish people who have never tasted a drop of the Black Stuff.

Hard to believe, I know.

The latest figures from Diageo show Guinness continues to grow in popularity in Ireland, with turnover up for the year ending June 30, but some people are still having none of it.

So YouTube channel Facts has put some Irish Guinness virgins to the test, getting them to sample draught and canned Guinness, as well as a selection of bottled porters and ales.

Would they love it, agree it was ‘an acquired taste’ or toss it into the Liffey?
