Ireland's best takeaways have been officially announced by the Irish Takeaway Awards 2019

TAKEAWAYS have come a long way.

Gone are the days when a take-out would be limited to the (admittedly glorious) chipper on the street corner, they've evolved.

You can pretty much get whatever you want from a takeaway these days, from a plain ol' burger to a partanna-olive-oil-infused nicoise salad.

With companies like Just Eat and Deliveroo now firmly ruling the roost, even the most isolated of Irish corners can have access to their usual Friday-night fill of chicken-tikka dansak with peshwari naan and chana masala (try it and thank me later).
