A DUBLIN ice-cream parlour is pulling out all the stops this Valentine’s Day with an aphrodisiac ice cream guaranteed to get you in the mood for love.
Or something like that, at least.
For one day only this February 14th, Scoop Parlour will be stocking a libido-enhancing oyster and champagne ‘Ice Scream’ designed to help you enjoy the best Valentine’s possible.
Oysters have an established reputation as an aphrodisiac.
It all dates back to the most famous lover of them all, Casanova.
The story goes that the 18th-century lothario started each and every day with a decadent breakfast of 50 oysters.
Scoop Parlour isn’t going to quite the same lengths – with each serving offering up a modest six oysters – but it’s still sure to get you in the mood for love. Or ice cream. Or both.
Anyone hoping to get their hands on this new sweet treat creation will have to move fast though; the new oyster and champagne Ice Scream is only available through the Deliveroo app or website for one day only.
"This Valentine’s Day, we intend to play Cupid for those looking to embrace the holiday of love to the fullest extent," Deliveroo’s Bobby Burns explained.
"We’re very happy to work with Scoop, who share our passion for pushing boundaries with innovative and delicious treats."
The two companies previously collaborated on a prosecco-flavoured gelato made to celebrate the Dublin Horse Show.
