THE WORLD'S finest Irish pubs have been revealed following a lengthy search that's taken in all corners of the globe and a fair few drinking establishments at that.
No one does drinking quite like the Irish, which is perhaps why virtually every major city on the planet has at least one bar or pub inspired by the magic of the Emerald Isle.
Not all Irish pubs are created equal, of course, which is why there's the Irish Pub Global Awards to help separate the wheat from the chaff.
They spend the last 12 months scouring the planet to find the best Irish pubs on offer.
It's an exhaustive search taking in everything from Washington to Wellington, Beijing to Brisbane and London to Lisbon.
At the end of it all, they put together an impressive list of winners covering the best pubs in Ireland as well as the best Irish pubs in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific.
On top of all that, the Irish Pub Global Awards is a celebration of the best of the best when it comes to Irish pubs with Tír na nóg, Madison Square Garden claiming the biggest honour up for grabs as the Global Irish Pub of the Year.
The pub also took home the award for America's Irish Pub of the Year in a memorable night for the New York drinking establishment.
In Europe, London's very own Waxy O'Connor's took home another of the coveted annual prizes as Irish Pub of the Year.
Famous for Irish Whiskey, live music, sport and of course our great hospitality, Waxy O'Connor's is located in the West End of London and is open every day.
Dublin's very own Toners took home the award as Irish Pub of the Year for Ireland while The Irish Village in Dubai was named Irish Pub of the Year for Asia, Africa, Middle East & Pacific.
It wasn't all about the pints of Guinness either with whiskey and cocktails both an important consideration for the judging panel.
Those seeking the ultimate dram might want to consider a trip to The Dingle Whiskey Bar, which was named Best Irish Whiskey Experience while The Central in Navan claimed the award for Best Cocktail Experience.
The Scholars Lounge in Rome was ranked as Europe's beat Irish Whiskey Experience while WB Yeats in London took home the award for Best Cocktail Experience.
