FORMER Westlife lead vocalist Shane Filan is set to release his début solo single, Everything To Me, on August 23.
The single will serve as a first taster of his as-yet-untitled debut album, which is expected to be released in the autumn.
The pop single was co-written by Filan and Nick Atkinson (Gabrielle Aplin) and produced by Grammy award winning producer, Martin Terefe (James Morrison).
Three other brand new songs written by Filan will also feature on the EP to be released on Capitol Records.
They are Everytime, Once and Today’s Not Yesterday.
Sligo-born Filan is the first member of Westlife's final line-up to embark on a solo career since the departure of Brian McFadden in 2004.
As part of the boyband he enjoyed sales of more than 50 million records around the world and achieved 14 number one singles in Britain alone.
However in June 2012 - one week after the band split - the 33-year-old was declared bankrupt after the collapse of his property development company, Shafin Developments.
The collapse left him owing Irish banks £19.8m (€23m).
At the time, the singer moved to Surrey in England before declaring his debts, as it would only affect him for one year under British regulations - compared to 12 years in Ireland.
Last month he was discharged from bankruptcy following the allotted year but has since said he has "no plans" to return to Ireland.
