Westlife's Shane Filan shares throwback to 'dreaming' of Croke Park ahead of reunion tour

The lead singer of the band reminisced about his time as a little boy in Croke Park.

Shane Filan alongside bandmates Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily are preparing ahead of their Westlife Twenty tour in 2019.

The band are reuniting for a new album and will kick off their comeback with a single secretly co-written by Ed Sheeran according to reports.

It's been six years since the lads last performed together but the music group is set to reform for a new album, with a tour set to follow.

Just last weekend the Sligo group were out on the tiles in London to celebrate Nicky's 40th birthday.

Filan has expressed his excitement on Instagram, visiting Croke Park ahead of their Dublin date on July 5 2019.

The Unbreakable singer shared an old picture of him and his 3 brothers in Croke Park more than 30 years ago.

The singer captioned the snap: "With my 3 brothers Peter,Finbarr & Liam 32 years ago in Croke Park ! By the look on my face I was dreaming about it then"

The four members of Westlife - Boyzlife singer and ex-band member Brian McFadden excluded - have reportedly signed with Universal and have been busy working on new songs ahead of a tour that could coincide with the 20th anniversary of their debut no.1 hit Swear It Again.

Hit crooner Ed Sheeran has been recruited to co-write songs for the new album with the rest of the group - and the boys have been blown away by the results.

"Having Ed involved is a huge coup," an inside source said.

"They think he will give them a contemporary edge for their reunion. They have already recorded the song and are delighted with the results."
