Westlife reunion well under way as Markus Feehily shares pictures of band celebrating

Seems like the lads are still the best of pals.

WESTLIFE ARE reuniting for a new album and will kick off their comeback with a single secretly co-written by Ed Sheeran according to reports.

It's been six years since Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan announced the group would be parting ways to pursue solo projects but it seems like their friendships will last forever.

We previously reported the music group is set to reform for a new album, with a tour set to follow.

Before the hard work and rehearsing begins, the Sligo men set out for a night on the tiles for Byrne's 40th birthday in London.

Feehily, who chatted with The Irish Post for an exclusive interview just last December, posted pictures of the band regrouped in a London bar, writing on his Twitter account: "Nico is 40 and he gets some cake".

The four men were no doubt out until the early hours chatting about the golden days of Westlife, prompting Feehily to declare their reunion a "Great night out with the lads".

The four members of Westlife - Boyzlife singer and ex-band member Brian McFadden excluded - have reportedly signed with Universal and have been busy working on new songs ahead of a tour that could coincide with the 20th anniversary of their debut no.1 hit Swear It Again.

Hit crooner Ed Sheeran has been recruited to co-write songs for the new album with the rest of the group - and the boys have been blown away by the results.

"Having Ed involved is a huge coup," an inside source said.

"They think he will give them a contemporary edge for their reunion. They have already recorded the song and are delighted with the results."
