WATCH: Radiographers in Limerick hospital dance in PPE to keep spirits up

IRELAND'S HEALTH workers have been praised for fighting the front lines against the spread of coronavirus as the country remains under lockdown, but it's certainly not an easy job.

What was already a demanding career before the pandemic, and which has only gotten harder and with more pressure, it's difficult to imagine how those on the front lines are keeping their spirits up.

For these radiographers in University Hospital Limerick, the answer seems to be through the outlet of dance.

With pubs and nightclubs closed for the foreseeable future, and no céilís or fleadhs to attend, the Irish people's love of dance is coming out in other ways-- like on TikTok, for example.

One group of radiographers in UHL took to the social media app to record themselves doing a choreographed dance to the sound of The Weeknd's track 'Blinding Lights'.

As is the way with TikTok, the clip is short-- but is well worth a couple of watches to see the five women throwing some serious shapes on the makeshift dance floor!

Check out the video below-- well done to all and keep up the good work, both on the dance floor and on the frontlines!
