VILLAGERS have released the video for their new single Earthly Pleasure which will be released on August 23.
The video sees directors Smith & Werber marry images to frontman Conor O’Brien's lyrics and is the latest single from the group’s second album Awayland, which also features tracks My Lighthouse, Nothing Arrived and The Waves.
The album has enjoyed national success, reaching number one in the Irish albums chart and international acclaim after peaking at number two in the Independent Album Breakers Chart in Britian.
Earlier this summer Villagers toured in North America and played a standout show at Glastonbury Festival.
The Dublin band’s frontman Conor O’Brien was also invited to appear at Beck’s Song Reader Live at The Barbican in London, alongside Jarvis, Franz Ferdinand, Charlotte Gainsbourg and others.
Villagers will next month headline the second stage at Green Man before appearing at the Reading and Leeds festival at the end of August.
