SOCIAL MEDIA went into meltdown over the news that Irish funnyman Brendan O'Carroll's creation, Mrs Brown's Boys, was named 'Best British Sitcom of the 21st Century' in a new poll.
The poll, which was run by Radio Times, saw Mrs Brown's Boys beat off competition from the likes of favourites The Office, Gavin and Stacey and The IT Crowd.
Here is a flavour of the social media reaction...
People love Mrs Brown's Boys and voted for BREXIT. We can't trust people, Jeremy.

Mrs Brown's Boys has been voted best sitcom of the century? That's the first time it has actually made me laugh.

The news that Mrs Brown's Boys has been voted the comedy of the century might signal the moment when we stop asking for people's opinions.

I think if you asked me, like really asked me, if I'd choose being tasered over watching Mrs Brown's Boys... I would choose the tasering.
