BIDDY WHITE LENNON has sadly passed away.
The Dublin native has died, whom many will remember as star of The Riordans but also most recently, TV3's Great Irish Bake Off.
The actress was one of Ireland's first soap stars, with her role as Maggie Riordan in the rural drama making her a name on everyone's lips.
According to The Irish Mirror, the actress and chairwoman for the Irish Food Writers Guild worked in both radio and television before her untimely death.
RTÉ spoke of the sad passing of the much-loved actress: "RTÉ is saddened to hear about the death of our former colleague Biddy White Lennon. Biddy, who worked on both television and radio in RTÉ will always be fondly remembered for her role as Maggie in The Riordans.
"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time."
People took to Twitter to share their condolences and mutual love of the late actress.
